En cas d’urgence:
Vous serez accueilli au service des urgences de la clinique Bonnefon par un médecin urgentiste qui procèdera à un premier examen, et demandera les examens complémentaires nécessaires au diagnostic et au traitement. S’il estime que votre état nécessite une intervention urgente ou s’il a besoin d’un avis chirurgical, Le chirurgien de votre choix sera contacté (parmi les chirurgiens de la spécialité exerçant dans la clinique). Si le chirurgien que vous avez choisi est absent ou indisponible, c’est son remplaçant ou le chirurgien de garde qui vous prendra en charge. Si vous acceptez l’intervention chirurgicale proposée,Vous serez hospitalisé et le médecin anesthésiste de garde vous examinera et demandera éventuellement des examens complémentaires et parfois une consultation spécialisée d’un autre confrère (cardiologue). Ensuite l’intervention, après préparation habituelle, sera réalisé dans les meilleurs délais, toutefois une intervention peut être différée de quelques jours pour des raisons de sécurité médicale (prises d’anticoagulants, pathologies associées à stabiliser etc.) ou pour des raisons techniques (commande de matériel particulier nécessaire à l’intervention).
En dehors de l’urgence:
Toute intervention doit obligatoirement être précédée d’une consultation au cabinet du chirurgien. Elle sera programmée suffisamment à l’avance pour être réalisée avec les meilleures condition d’accueil et de réalisation technique (disponibilité des places, planning opératoire). Le délai moyen de programmation d’une intervention est d’un mois, mais il pourra être adapté à votre cas en tenant compte de la gravité de votre affection et de la douleur que vous ressentez. Le chirurgien vous fournira toutes les explications nécessaires pour expliquer l’intervention proposée, ses buts, ses risques éventuels et les soins post opératoires nécessaires, ainsi que le délai moyen de récupération. Vous devrez obligatoirement donner votre consentement par écrit sur un document officiel (« consentement éclairé »), un délai de réflexion nécessaire vous est accordé et ce document devra être remis au chirurgien avant l’intervention.
Les jours opératoires des chirurgiens sont fixes et ne peuvent être modifiés.

In case of emergency
You have to go at the Emergency Department of the Bonnefon Clinic, you will meet an ER- Doctor who will examine you, and will ask for the additional medical exams necessary for diagnosis and treatment. If he thinks that you require urgent intervention or if he needs a surgical advice, the surgeon of your choice will be contacted (from the surgeons’ team of the specialty practicing in the Bonnefon-clinic). If the surgeon you have chosen is absent or unavailable, it is an alternate surgeon on duty who will take care of you. If you accept the proposed surgery, you will be hospitalized and the anesthesiologist will examine you and may ask for further tests and sometimes a specialized consultation of another colleague (cardiologist). Then the intervention, after usual preparation, will be realized as soon as possible, however an intervention can be delayed few days for reasons of medical safety (taken of anticoagulants, pathologies associated to stabilize etc.) or for technical reasons (order of particular equipment necessary for the intervention).
If it is not an emergency
Any intervention must be preceded by a consultation in the surgeon’s office. The surgery will be scheduled in advance to be performed with the best conditions of hospitality and technical realization (availability of places, operational planning). The average time to program an intervention is one month, but it can be adapted to your case taking care of the severity of your pathology and the pain you feel. The surgeon will provide you all the necessary explanations about the proposed surgery, its goals, possible risks and postoperative care required, as well as the average recovery time. You will have to give your consent in writing on an official document (« mutual consent« ), a necessary period of reflection is granted to you and this document must be submitted back to the surgeon before the intervention.
The operating days of the surgeons are fixed and cannot be modified.
